Worked on this latest painting on a Sunday afternoon, a continuation to my sudden craze for turtles. The first two paintings can be found here.
This was done in a rather short time, I think I'm getting better at controlling my colours. In the mean time, I'm also working on an oil painting of a turtle when I have time, the very first oil I've ever attempted. The canvas has been sitting on my porch for several weeks now, and the turtle is just half done. To add to that, I've also been working on a Batik Painting of a turtle as well. That's half done, and I hope to complete it by tomorrow. I must say Batik is a lot of work, let's hope the end result is worth it.

Beautiful. Do you look at a picture when you paint? I can never paint without looking at something.

well...if it's a new subject, I study it either by looking at pictures, or sketching it life. For instance, observe my dog and do quick sketches. Only from memory when I've practied enough on a particular subject. :)
Your children and hubby are very lucky to have mum like you:-)
