6 months since I last painted, can you imagine!
When there are tight schedules and routine, there's just no motivation to paint at all. During the recent break, I wanted to show the kids how to paint. We went outdoors, and took time to paint.
This is not perfect, and I did not have the patience as I did before. Perhaps the mind is just too tired to focus. Anyway it is a watercolour sketch, done in under 2 hours.
Hope it doesn't take 6 months before I paint again.

the orchids look beautiful! yes, you should paint more often, so that our eyes keep getting some treats. :)
In an eternity, I would be unable to do what you can do in two hours. You are blessed with a gift.
That's a beautiful painting Martha :)
Oooo..it's perfect, Martha! It doesn't show that you've lost touched for 6 months! I wish I could paint as well as that.
It is lovely, but more importantly you have made time to do something you love and to unwind a little, good on you! Keep finding the time somewhere, it is difficult but beneficial. Looking forward to the next one.
It's beautiful. And that's just the way life works sometimes. It goes and other things just creep in and steal your time.
oh thank you beautiful blogger mums. :) I think you all understand it well, how routine and motherhood can sometimes rob us of things we love to do best. Thanks for being encouraging. I'll have to remind myself to take time out every now and then to focus a bit on painting and stuff I really wanna do..
